Time is a stubborn illusion

Noun= the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past,
            present, and future regarded as a whole.
Verb = plan, schedule or arrange when (something) should happen or be done

Definition of Time Management

ü  The ability to use one’s time effectively or productively, especially at work.

WHAT IS PROCRASTINATION

Ø  Procrastination is the act of putting off intentionally the doing of something that should be done.

PROCRASTINATION ….WHAT IS IT?

Ø  Psychological behavior that allows a person to postpone or delay a certain activity or task.
Ø  Sources of great stress and anxiety for many people.

JOB TASK ANALYSIS

  1.   Work completed with a minimum amount of effort.                 = Routine
  2.   Activities that benefit the company.                                         = Routine
  3.   Important work.                                                                       = ASAP
  4.  Does not require immediate attention.                                    = Routine
  5.  Socializing / attending meetings.                                            = ASAP
  6.  Workers receive immediate gratification.                               = ASAP
  7.  Developing new product information.                                     = ASAP
  8.  Should be done as soon as time permits.                             = ASAP
  9.  Expected, customary duties.                                                  = Routine
  10.  Require considerable time to complete.                                = Routine

TIME MANAGEMENT TIPS  
                 
ü  Plan for rewards after unpleasant tasks.
ü  Do the most unpleasant tasks first.
ü  Learn to say no.
ü  Plan for change (involve others and ask for help if needed).
ü  If you are too busy, ask, “What is essential?”
ü  When you are indecisive or unsure, remember that you can rarely be 100 percent sure.
ü  Waiting is inevitable; plan for it.
ü  Let someone else do when possible (delegate)
ü  Finish fully. It leaves you energized and motivated.
ü  Watch out for the TYRANNY of the urgent!
ü  Let others make the smaller decisions.
ü  Model, ask, and observe.
ü  saves four or Planning for one minute five minutes in the execution of a task.
ü  Once you have found the extra time, enjoy it!
